I bought a brownstone shell in Harlem, NYC. It’s really narrow (12.5′ x 53′) and I already have an idea of how I’d like to re-do it. It’s almost empty inside. The building is a gut-rehab that has to be completely re-built from the inside out. It’s in a landmarked zone so the exterior has to be restored to its original design, but I have full reign with the interior and rear. I don’t have $$ to do the re-hab now, but I’d like to have an architect do some drawings based on my ideas, just so that I can see my ideas fleshed out in a floorplan and in elevation. Can you recommend someone in NY or East Coast or even take on this project? I have photos and dimensions and plans done by a developer (I don’t like the developer’s plans). My budget is very small — because I’m only trying to see my own ideas fleshed out and enhanced — because I won’t be able to afford to do the re-hab for another couple of years.
